How We Work With Teens:
~ We work with teens individually but include PARENTS every step of the way.
~ Our treatment approach is INDIVIDUALIZED and based on sound, EVIDENCED-BASED ADOLESCENT NUTRITION.
~ To be truly effective, we combine nutrition counseling with other therapeutic models (where appropriate), which include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Intuitive and Interoceptive Eating, mindfulness based therapies, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
~ If your teen has an Eating Disorder, we will come up with an individualized treatment plan. This may include Family Based Treatment.
~ If your teen needs more support, we have a great referral network of adolescent professionals around the DC metropolitan area.
